Invalid password error #
- Double-check you have typed your email and password correctly. They are case sensitive.
- Please ensure you are using the latest version of VoiceboxMD. You can download the latest version here: voiceboxmd.com/docs/windows/client.
- Make sure the technical configuration is correct so the app works properly, e.g., no firewalls are blocking VoiceboxMD.
- If you forget your password, choose the “Forgot Password” link on the VoiceboxMD login screen to submit your email and receive recovery instructions.
- To reset your password, navigate to the VoiceboxMD control panel settings and choose “Reset Password.”
After a successful installation, VoiceboxMD does not launch #
- The most common cause for this issue is a problem with your microphone. Make sure it is connected. It is recommended that you invest in a quality dictation microphone.
- Ensure you are connected to a high-speed and reliable internet connection. Visit fast.com and ensure your internet speed is at least 30 Mbps.
VoiceboxMD repeatedly asks you to log in when you click on the microphone icon #
If you notice that VoiceboxMD repeatedly prompts you to log in, you can resolve this by deleting the VoiceboxMD cache and logging in again.
- Uninstall VoiceboxMD from your computer.
- Download and reinstall the latest VoiceboxMD version here: voiceboxmd.com/docs/windows/client.
- Delete the VoiceboxMD folder from C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\VoiceboxMD.
- Open VoiceboxMD and log in again.
Poor transcription quality issues #
- VoiceboxMD is sensitive to pauses, background noises, “er’s and um’s” and inadvertent coughs, etc. It is essential to speak slowly and clearly. Pause briefly every two to three sentences.
- Ensure you are connected to a high speed and reliable internet connection. Visit fast.com and ensure your internet speed is at least 30 Mbps.
- Consider using a professional dictation microphone, such as Philips SpeechMike 3500.
- Using a word processing application to transcribe your audio will help to pick up common grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
- On the Settings tab In the Control Panel, ensure you have chosen the correct language. You may also increase the CPM delay.
- Where particular phrases are repeatedly misspelled, on the Phrases tab In the Control Panel, specify how VoiceboxMD transcribes them.
- On the Vocabulary tab In the Control Panel, add jargon and unusual words to VoiceboxMD’s built-in dictionary.
- You may add stock comments and common diagnoses to VoiceboxMD’s language set on the Templates tab In the Control Panel.
